⁴⁰ You girded me with strength for the battle;
    You subjugated under me those who rose up against me.
⁴¹ You caused my enemies to retreat from me;
    I destroyed those who hated me.
⁴² They looked, but there was no one to save them,
    to the Lord, but He did not respond.
